- Transcriptions and translations of three works by Johann Valentin Eckelt (1675–1732), all located at A-Wmk. (Email them to order a scan.) Eckelt was a pupil of Pachelbel, who also taught Johann Christoph Bach. J. S. Bach received his first musical education from J. C. Bach in Ohrdruf beginning in 1695. Thus, Eckelt’s works may shed light on Bach’s early education.
